Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) Briefing

In 2020, Los Angeles County will transition from polling places to vote centers. Developed by the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, the Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) is new model that will allow voters to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the County over an 11-day period. Join us as we learn about this new voting system that aims to maximize voter turnout.

Jean Vasquez and Michael Iturralde with the Registrar’s Community and Voter Outreach operation will jointly present.

  • Monica, a.k.a Jean, Vasquez is a team leader in the Registrar’s Community and Voter Outreach operation. She has been with the registrar’s office for over a year. She has worked on many outreach projects but is especially proud of her work to coordinate Vote Center Placement Project (VCPP) meetings. Meetings which were coordinated and promoted by Jean had some of the highest attendance numbers of all VCPP meetings in the County. Currently, she is working to identify locations to be used as VSAP demo centers ahead of the 2020 Primary.

  • Michael Iturralde has been with the Registrar-Recorder for one year and is a lead within the Community and Voter Outreach operation. As a lead, Michael is tasked with coordinating Departmental participation in a variety of public and private facing events. Most recently, he coordinated a full team effort to have VSAP Ballot Marking Devices on display and functioning for hundreds of participants at the County’s Equity Summit. Michael is proud of the work he does for the community and is especially proud of the fact that he has been a vital part of the Registrar’s efforts to register new citizens to vote at Naturalization Ceremonies in LA County.
