YES ON 50 CANVASSING
Come knock doors with Assemblymember Tina McKinnor, the Westchester-Playa Democratic Club, Westchester Playa Indivisible and neighbors from all over Assembly District 61 and help stop the Trump / MAGA agenda. Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections and passing Prop 50 is the best chance we have of stopping him and taking back Congress next year.
Face-to-face conversations are the best way to persuade and turn out our voters. We'll do a short training on the script and FAQs and we have walk pieces to share with folks.
Join us on the last Sunday before the election to help save our country!

On Saturday, Sept. 27th we draw a line in the sand. Californians will come together across the 840 miles of CA coast and show our resolve against Trump’s attacks on California and on American ideals.
Join this event along a route stretching from LAX to Santa Monica’s Palisades Park in peaceful demonstration of California's strength and solidarity. This event is open to all Californians who want a better democracy, not a dictator.
We need you to sign up for a specific segment to stand to spread protestors out along the 10 mile route. Select a route segment on SignUp here:

Whether you're brand new to political engagement or just looking for a clearer path forward, this event will break it all down—what activism can look like, how to find your lane, and simple steps you can take right away. Come as you are, bring your questions, and leave feeling more confident, connected, and empowered to take action.

Charter Reform Town Hall
Charter Reform Town Hall at LMU – The City’s Charter Reform Commission is holding its next Town Hall Study Session on Saturday, September 6, at 9 AM at Loyola Marymount University. This is an important chance for CD11 residents to help shape the future of city government. More information on the meeting can be found HERE.
#WorkersOverBillionaires Labor Day
Labor and community are planning more than a barbecue on Labor Day this year because we have to stop the billionaire takeover. Billionaires are converting the government into their private slush fund and just passed the largest wealth giveaway in the history of the US. The money they take from working families, they put in billionaires’ pockets and set aside to fund a private army of ICE agents.
Just like any bad boss, the way we stop the takeover is with collective action. We are working people rising up to stop the billionaire takeover–not just through the ballot box or the courts, but through building a bigger and stronger movement. We are growing our movement and fighting for a country that is more fair, just, equitable, and free for all of us—and not just a chosen few.
On September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people.
Thousands of communities across the country are taking a stand on Labor Day, join us! We will be in the streets, outside the offices of the corporate criminals who are behind the attacks on our freedoms, and at congressional offices. Together we will demand a country that puts workers over billionaires.
OUR DEMANDS TO BUILD THE SOCIETY WE ALL DESERVE:
Stop the billionaire takeover corrupting our government.
Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people.
Fully funded schools, and healthcare and housing for all.
Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities.
Invest in people not wars.
